Logbook Servicing

When buying a new car, the warranty that comes with it can protect you from certain unexpected expenses early in the vehicle's life. To keep this warranty active, you're often required to bring your vehicle to a reputable auto repairer for a logbook service, in which we check your vehicle for any developing mechanical problems before they become serious.

We're able to provide logbook servicing to all makes and models of new vehicles, keeping your vehicle in prime condition while prolonging the protection of your warranty.

Brake Repairs & Services

Your vehicle's brakes are its most important safety feature. Being able to bring your vehicle to a complete stop when you need it to is an essential facet of safe motoring. But your vehicle's brakes can suffer wear and tear more quickly than most other vehicle components, particularly if your vehicle's subjected to city roads and the stop-and-start nature of urban driving.

We're able to check your brake systems for wear and tear, replacing worn brake pads, discs or drums as required. We can also arrange for custom tailored brake discs to be machined in our workshop.

Wheels & Tyres

Most handling issues your vehicle can experience stem from problems with your vehicle's wheels or tyres. Worn, bald tyres retain very little grip with the road, causing your vehicle to behave unexpectedly when turning or under brakes. Poorly aligned or balanced wheels can also create handling problems by creating inconsistent tyre wear and increasing the risk of a tyre blowout.

At The Railway Garage we can recommend the right tyre solution to match your car, preferred roads and driving habits. We can then also conduct wheel balancing and wheel alignment, to maximise contact with the road for optimum handling.

E-Safety Check Inspections

Before you can sell or trade your vehicle, or to re-register it after a certain amount of time off the road, you will need your vehicle to undergo a safety check at a workshop approved by the Department of Roads and Maritime Services as an accredited inspection station.

We're accredited to conduct safety inspections on all makes and models of light vehicles, inlcuding light commercial vans and utes. Once your vehicle passes muster, you'll be issued with an E-Safety Check for your vehicle (formerly known as pink slips), indicating a vehicle fit for use on the road.

Exhaust Repairs

Your exhaust is responsible for drawing spent fumes away from your vehicles' engine bay, allowing fresh air to enter the engine and provide for optimal performance. A problem with your vehicle's exhaust can affect power output and fuel economy, as well as potentially let fumes leak into the vehicle cabin and harm you and your passengers.

We provide a range of repairs for your exhaust system, from patching up damage and cleaning out sediment interfering with air flow to replacing mufflers with something from our range of quality aftermarket parts.
